Why does my daughter freak out on her dad and not me?

I work in the afternoons and evenings and for some reason while I am gone my 9 week old daughter drives her dad insane! Never happy, but when she is with me on my days off or after work she is fine! WHY?

My son did the same thing and still does and hes 13mo. There is just a difference between mom and dad that kids pick up on. My husband is less structured when hes home with our son so I think that throws him off plus Im mainly a stay at home mom so its a seperation thing i think. It seemed to help when my husband started using sign language with our son that helped since I was using sing with him he was now able to communicate with him as well.

I don't know what it is, but my 19 week old son is the same, and it drives his dad crazy. Bub will be screaming his head off, and I'll snuggle him, and calm him down, give him his sucky, etc, but when I hand him to his dad, he starts again, and won't stop. I try to make suggestions of what I do, but it just upsets him more, because he's already tried it all. It may be because your daughter was constantly with you for 9 months, hearing every word you said, and every move you made, so she's just more used to you, and everything you do reminds her of the womb. I don't know really, maybe it's just a mom thing. When she gets older I'm sure it will be better, just hang in there. :)

maternal instinct and touch......you naturally know what makes her happy!! It's a gift enjoy it! Maybe you can give your husband some tips on what she likes.
