I don't think so either! I think they sound completely different. Something like Allison and Alissa would sound the same. I think Allison and Ashlyn sound nice together.

I would say its fine whichever you choose, although if i had two children i wouldnt name them with the same first letter of a name because like in my family they ruined it for me because my sister had her children first and named them Kaileyana and Kaileb, then my brother had one and named him Caden, so that left me with names that didnt start with K or C because of the confusion on my mothers behalf lol. So we are going with Anthony because its nothing similar to their names :) hope this helps

I think it's adorable! Allie or Ally are cute nicknames for Allison.. I'm an Alison and have spelled Allie: Ali.. much confusion.. And Ash or Lynn are cute for Ashlyn :) Good luck!

I love the name Ashlyn, has a modern spin on the traditional name Ashley. Very cute and not too similar!

Nope i love it! I've got a Kody, and i'll be having a Kaci-Leigh, shortened to Kaci no doubt! I think it's really nice to have names that just 'go' with eachother! x

Within a couple of years these names woudl be shortend to Ash and Ali so don't worry about it. My sons real name is Alexander but he hates that so we call him Alex and now his friends changed that to Lex and now he is Al next year he will be A!

No I think its cute! Plus do you call Allison Allie? And would you call Ashlyn, Ash/Ashly? Then they'd sound more different anyway.
