I had that problem w/ both of my sons and not my daughter. Eventually they just want to go to their room. My oldest never slept in bed w/ us and we had a portable cot in our room. My other son just wanted something to fall asleep to, so we put a little 13 inch tv in his room and he falls asleep in his room now. Everyone is different, but eventually they'll go to their room. Try giving rewards for going to sleep in their room. Good luck.

persistance!!! It will cause some lack of sleep on your part for a little while, but set your alarm every 2 hours. Check your room make sure your child is not in your room and then if they are, carry them or wake them and take them back to their bed. If they are not in your room go check and make sure they are still in bed. Keep doing this and eventually they realize that they have to stay in their bed.
