As a full time stay at home Mom of two little girls in San Francisco, I can say the days are never dull, the blown-out diapers are never ending, and the debate over braids vs. pigtails has only just begun. Come join the fun!

What's the best part of raising a family in NorCal?

The absolute best part is the number of activities and adventures we have access to without having to go far at all. Living in San Francisco, we're able to walk a few blocks to explore Lombard Street, drive a few minutes and be on the Golden Gate Bridge, and venture a little further to hike in Marin. There are parks, zoos, museums, and so much more...I love being able to expose my girls to new experiences and living in Northern CA, specifically in San Francisco, allows me to do that with ease.

What's the biggest misconception about living in NorCal?

I think the biggest misconception about living in Northern CA is that people think the weather is always perfect! I live in San Francisco and I'll be the first to tell you that this is not the case...at least not where we live. Seasons don't really exist in San Francisco and fog in the summertime is enough to drive a Mommy crazy...that's why we take advantage of the surrounding areas and frequently head to Marin for warmer weather (where the weather is very close to perfect!).

What do your kids love most about living in NorCal?

Since I have a 2.5 year old and a 9 month old, I'm fairly certain they don't fully understand just how lucky they are to live where we do. That being said, I think what they love most is the fact that we're able to explore so much without having to go far at all. I'm hoping that my girls grow up to appreciate living in Northern CA just as much as their parents do!
