What health changes have you experienced from becoming vegetarian or vegan?

There are many, but off the top of my head (and I'm not gonna lie, probably my favorite!) is that my skin has cleared up and always seems to have this lovely "glow" about it. My hair is also healthier than it's ever been, and I rarely get sick. My immune system is ferocious!

Do you expect your kids to be vegetarian or vegan?

Yes, I do, until they're old enough to make their own decisions (I keep a veg*n house and that wont ever change). I think there's a balance, though, between guiding our children to follow our own sense of ethical direction, versus allowing them to be their own autonomous, curious, naturally rebellious little creatures. I'm not saying that I've necessarily found that balance, but I do think it's out there!

What's one of your favorite foods you've discovered by being vegetarian or vegan?

Oh man, so many! Buckwheat, young coconuts, coconut yogurt and ice cream, raw cacao, sprouted lentils, fermented foods, kale chips and raw kale salads, coconut crystals, wakame and dulse, and the glorious splendor that is NUTRITIONAL YEAST!
