Where do you discover new kid-friendly crafts?

I create or adapt new kid-friendly crafts by following my little ones’ leads, viewing Pinterest, blogs, and looking back to projects I did when I was a first grade & preschool teacher.

What's one creative product you would recommend to all moms?

The product would be Mod Podge. It is non-toxic and works like glue, but also works as a finish. It is a wonderful product for adults and children.

How do you encourage your child to explore their creativity?

I love open-ended projects! I help my little ones to be creative by placing novel materials in front of them and letting them explore as they wish. I try extremely hard to never say, “This is the right/correct way to use that.” or give a model of what the end result should be. I am also pretty relaxed about letting my little ones get messy – in fact, even clean up can be fun if you make it a game.

We're looking for decorating inspiration! Please share a link to a photo of your child's room.

By turning an old fashioned red wagon into a bookshelf it will make any child's room look adorable! I saw this idea on Pinterest and was eager to do this for BB. It looks adorable in the little guy’s room!

What's the most unique or fun way to announce a pregnancy that you've seen? Please share a link with a picture if it's relevant.

When my twin sister Sarah found out she was expecting a ??? she let us all know by having us meet up for breakfast. She put my daughter B in a shirt with the word “It’s” on it, her son in a shirt with “a” on it and made L two shirts one that read “girl!” and one that read “boy!” It was adorable and caused such excitement! L felt very important that she got to be the first to know if her new little cousin would be a boy or girl. Here is a link to the blog:

Does your family have a special tradition for Easter or Passover? Please share a link to a picture along with your response.

I highly recommend making an “Easter Egg Bath” for your little one–our kids had a blast! I think the highlight was making waves and watching the eggs bounce all around (using the larger eggshell halves to pour water, a close second).
