What's your favorite family tradition?

Waking the kids up in the morning. I usually snuggle beside them for a few minutes while they tell me what their dream was and what they plan on doing for the day. Their cheeks are just so warm and kissable, and after a good rest, they're usually in a great mood. It's my favorite time of day.

What's the most challenging thing about being both a blogger and a mom?

Time-management! I don't want to just write about being a Mom; I want to BE a great Mom. Sometimes my blog has to suffer so the other doesn't.

What's the most rewarding thing about being a mom?

Yesterday, we passed a fire station on the way home from doing groceries today. I told the kids that if they ever need help from a fireman, the police, or EMS, they should dial 911 on the phone.

"But," I said, "you may never call that number as a joke or for something Mommy can fix. Only use it for emergencies. Emergencies are when very terrible things happen."

"Okay, I'll just call that number if I die and don't have a clean heart yet."

"Only Jesus can give you a clean heart, Dolly, and if you die before you've asked Him, then it's too late. He says you can "call" Him right now and ask for a clean heart that loves Him above all, hates bad things, and really wants to do what is right."

"Oh. I'm glad Jesus said we can call Him before it's too late! Isn't that nice of Him?"

I think the very best thing about being a Mom is being reminded of God's Grace by pint-sized people who see it for what it is: God's unmerited favor.
