What's the best part of raising a family in Australia?

I couldn't imagine raising my children anywhere else. We live in such a beautiful, free country. My children have fresh air, open spaces, access to health care and education, and are free to express themselves in whatever way they see fit. We live in the hills so they have a world of adventure and exploration on their doorstep. Their grandparents, aunties and uncles all leave near the coast, so a short trip to see them means they can run barefoot on our amazing coastal beaches, smell the salt in the air, and learn to swim in our Australian waters.

In what ways is Australia unique from other places you've lived or traveled?

Australia is full of sunshine. Outdoor entertainment, beaches, bbq's, music, boardshorts and thongs. People like to 'play' - whether it's backyard cricket, or a kick around of the football with the radio on in the background, it's all about getting out, soaking up the sunshine and enjoying life.

What do your kids love most about living in Australia?

Playing outside, building 'castles', riding their bikes, and getting dirty with water games - like making mudpies! They just love the fresh air and great weather that we have here. I couldn't imagine my kids all rugged up and stuck inside on cold, rainy days on a regular basis. A couple of those in a row and we all go a little stir crazy!
