What's one tip you'd give to moms struggling to make time for physical activity?

Every little bit helps. Don't get bogged down by thinking you need an hour every day. Do what you can when you can and be proud!

What's your best advice for moms trying to get healthy?

I actually have two pieces of advice, I couldn't limit it to just one.

First thing is be prepared to change your lifestyle. To me getting healthy is about changing your lifestyle so it's important to start with changes you know you can make easily. For example, switch out the soda for water or non-sweetened tea. One of my rules has always been, if you think you're hungry have a glass of water and a piece of fruit or vegetable. If you're still hungry 10 minutes later, find a protein source like almonds or peanut butter.

Second thing, Set large and small goals, have a plan to achieve them then celebrate when you do! Reaching a goal is a big accomplishment no matter how small you think it is. Figure out what you're going to do when you achieve it and do it! I could be anything..15 minutes of Mommy time, a massage, maybe a new workout shirt. Whatever it is that's going to make you happy!

What motivates you to stay active while raising a family?

I think what motivates me to stay active is knowing that being the best mom I can be requires me to be satisfied with the person that I am. For me, staying active is as much a part me as being a mom. I know that in order to be the satisfied, I have to stay fit.
