No Monsters in my Bed

I'm a mother of three children (5, 4, and 1.5) - every day I blog about: things to do, things to make, things to read, and/or places to go (both in the DC region and elsewhere). Please stop by and say hello!

What kind of art inspires you the most?

What's one of your favorite art projects you've done with your child? (Feel free to include a link to a picture.)

What do you do with all the art projects your child creates? (If you have a photo of the way you display art, please share a link.)

What's a simple but creative way to use spring/summer flowers to make something beautiful?

One of our favorite ways to use flowers and other natural materials is to make construction paper sunprints. Lately my kids love to go on "nature walks" (we live in the suburbs, so I use the term "nature" loosely). On the walks we look for things with "interesting shapes" - flowers, different types of leaves, even rocks. We then tape everything to a DARK piece of construction paper and leave the paper in the sun for an entire day. In the evening, we have a "print" of the the various objects, so pretty.
