What's one of your favorite new books for children?

What advice would you give to a mom who thinks her child has too much homework?

What's one of your favorite educational activities that can be done outside the classroom?

What's a great gift parents can give teachers?

I am going to keep it real.... and tell you some of the favorite gifts I have gotten...SHARPIES are always nice!!!! There is NOT a teacher in this world that would NOT love a bouquet of COLORFUL sharpies!!! Giftcards are good choices too!!!! ONE THING I do suggest is to make sure your teacher likes coffee before investing in a "coffee" store giftcard!!! Don't get me wrong...I love the thought and my dad thanks you too because he LOVES coffee!!! Lottery scratch offs...yeah and I won $10 bucks!!! Cute lanyards are good too!!! I was really jealous one year, because the teacher across the hall had a mom that sent her a Favorites Survey... AND THEN all year my teacher friend got all kinds of personal goodies off of her Favorites Survey!!!! in all seriousness....REALLY any gift from my kiddos...comes from the heart and that makes my heart sing!!!

How much help should parents give their kids with homework?

Parents should be on stand-by. Most of the homework needs to be done by the student BUT if they are struggling or are NOT on grade level a little extra help might be needed. If you think the homework is too much or it is too hard... set up a conference... and discuss your concerns. PLEASE PLEASE do not do the homework for them... tell them most of the answers or actually do it yourself... not a good example and YES that has been done before!!!
