What's the best part of raising a family in the South?

I like the laid back nature here, and how welcoming people are! Also the warm weather here create a swimming pool culture, and an opportunity for community pools to become the playscapes for the summer!

What's the biggest misconception about living in the South?

I think the biggest misconception is that people are close-minded and unwelcoming to new people and ideas. I have not found that to be true. I have seen people be very welcoming of different ideas and cultures. We now live in a city where you can find food from practically and country, and places of worship for a variety of cultures.

What do your kids love most about living in the South?

They say "swimming!" This speaks to the fun and laid back summer we have had, where the plan for the entire day only needs to consist of meeting friends at the pool, or heading there on our own. We pack towels, goggles, sunblock and snacks, and we are set! A stop for frozen yogurt after isn't bad either!
