What advice would you give to moms who are struggling with PPD?

Reach out. Be honest about your struggle. Keep speaking up until your family, friends, caregiver respond and you get the help you need.

When you're struggling with a physical or mental illness, how do you keep up with all the demands of motherhood?

Know that the goal is not perfection, it is love. It is being there with your kids. It is doing the best you can each day and giving yourself grace and permission to try again the next day.

What's a mood booster that helps you get through a bad day?

My biggest help is exercise. Sometimes it's a lot, running 10 miles, other times it is doing a few minutes of yoga. A key part of surviving is the women in the #ppdchat army on twitter.
