What's the single best decision about money you've made?

The best decision I have made about money is to give to others. It has been such a blessing to teach my children the joy of giving to others and discovering how our needs will be met when we put others first.

Does your child receive an allowance? If so, how much? (Please share how old your child is.)

My children, Ethan age 4 and Emma age 6, currently receive $1 a week for a few daily chores we have on a chart. Emma has tried to negotiate for $3 but settled on the $1. They usually spend the $1 at the Dollar Tree. After a few hours their purchase usually breaks or falls apart. I am trying to show them to save for bigger things that will last :)

What's an easy way moms can trim their family food budget?

Moms can begin to trim down on their family budget by stockpiling cheap and free things each week. Once you get a good stockpile of snacks, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, and other items for free and at rock bottom prices you will see your grocery bill start to dwindle down. I currently only need to buy meat, veggies and fruit each week bringing my family grocery bill down to about $45 a week. Once you begin couponing and get the hang of it, the savings will start to roll in.
