What's your favorite vegan or vegetarian friendly product?

Nutritional Yeast - I love that it gives pasta and other dishes a "parm" cheese flavor, plus it is packed with B vitamins and other nutrients!

What's the biggest misconception people have about being a vegan or vegetarian?

That you feel deprived. I never feel so. There are more options than you could ever imagine because when you turn vegan, you open yourself up to a whole other world of food!
When eating out, there is always something yummy to eat and it actually makes my life so much easier not having to spend lots of time reading over the menu and trying to decide what's healthy.

What's your best tip for families who want to start living a vegan or vegetarian lifestyle?

Surround yourself with lots of support, through books, magazines, joining different blogs, and liking such pages on Facebook. This way you are constantly getting new recipe ideas, health information and it starts to feel very normal. You will develop new healthier routines and not miss the old ones.

What's your go-to meal for a romantic dinner at home, after the kids are asleep?


Spinach linguine pasta with Lupini beans and grilled portabella mushrooms. Topped with marinara sauce and nutritional yeast!

Freshly made Spinach and artichoke dip - can be served hot or cold - along with fresh cut veggies or whole grain crackers. My 1 and 3 years olds love dipping their food, why not make it veggie based?
