2 MO refuses bottle...HELP

I just returned to work 3 days ago. I have a 2 month old that is refusing to take the milk that was pumped for him. In the morning I take my other boys to school so I leave about 830am then I go to work so I return home no later than 1 pm. My husband says that the baby has been refusing to drink the milk out the bottle. I believe this is kind of odd because he was drinking from the bottle since he was 2 or 3 weeks but he hasn't had a bottle in about a week or 2. I'm not sure what to do because I'm working and the baby isn't eating until I return home. The milk he's drinking is milk that was frozen do you think I should pump some fresh milk or could it be the bottles. They are Medela bottles, I'm just clueless right now. Maybe he'll take the bottle tomorrow. I will try to go pump now and see how tomorrow goes. I never had this problem with my other children. Have either one of you ever had this trouble?

Try different bottles. There are some (we used playtex vented) that mimic the flow and shape of the breast better than others. Also, while he *should* be hungry during the time you are gone, my son was going ~ 6 hours at night at that age without feeding, so yours may just be waiting for you to come home and then making up for lost time during the rest of the day/night.

Hi, my Lo started refusing the bottle after a couple of months too. I couldn't get him to use any kind of bottle. I wasn't at work, but if he seems to be managing without all morning you could just go with it, your milk supply should adapt accordingly.

Are you freezing your milk straight away? As it may be breaking down too quickly & tasting different by the time it gets to him ~ I know mine did.

My son was the same way.I tried everything but the one thing that worked was holding him as if he was gonna get the boob

im having a similiar problem with my son. i dont work, but he wouldnt take a bottle when i leave him with people. anyway i also froze the milk and found that he won't drink it, but when i give him the fresh milk he takes it easier. also tommy tippee bottles are good. they are shaped more like a boob. good luck.

All you can do is try everything you can think of! Try fresh milk or only storing it in the fridge instead of freezing it. Try different bottles and nipples or see if he'll take it from someone else. I aslo wonder if it's possibly something you were eating at the time you pumped that time specifically? I would message Laura Hoffman or Sara D too, they really know their stuff when it comes to bf babies!
