Hi I have a routine for my breastfed baby but I would like to know what other mums breastfeeding routines are just to see if I'm feeding enough or not. Also, if you could share with me what you do to keep your milk supply high.

This is my current routine for my 9 month old

8am breastfeed
9am breakfast
10am nap
12pm wake up -lunch
2.30pm breasfeed
3pm nap
5 wake up - snack
6.30 dinner
7.15 nap
8 wake up breastfeeding
10pm bedtime and breastfeeding

Frequent feeding will keep your supply up. Personally I have never kept a routine but feed on demand, however I understand this doesn't suit everyone. Is your baby happy? This is the most important thing. You may find though your baby will want to breastfeed more often when ill or teething or having a growth spurt or hitting developmental milestones. This is my reason for feeding on demand...

I pumped exclusively with both my girls just because we had issues with feeding from the breast and it was just less stress for the baby and me. That being said a also fed on demand but with my youngest my supply was a lot less than with my older daughter. I spoke to my lactation consultant and she said to make sure that I was drinking enough and that I could take fenugreek which is a supplement available at GNC stores that is said to increase milk production. Good Luck.

Hey kinda after he has his meals he's not so happy yet he doesn't want to feed either, he just wants to play and crawl about when I try to feed him which leaves me to give him which is the reason why I feed him only three times a day when he's most hungry
