My daughter was on a neb since she was 9 mos and she was first hospitalized at 18 mos. At this time the put her on singulair. After on the singulair she never had a major attack again. However if we removed her from it. With in a week she would have allergy symptons and usually start to weeze again. Now she is 8 and she is almost sympton free. If she starts a bad cold we will give her the neb for a few days and this helps with her breathing and she seems to get over the cold faster.

Have you taken her to a Naturopathic Dr. for food allergy testing or a general check-up? They should have some alternative methods so you are not continually giving your little one meds. My friends husband had asthma until he removed all of the foods that he had intolerances to and it has helped him tremendously!!! Good luck!

Have you tried singulair? It's a once a day chewable approved for both asthma and allergies in kids. My son started on it when he was around 3, and it was a life saver. He rarely needed any other meds, including steroids which scare me.
