I'm trying to deplete my milk supply as I am weaning my son, and over having rock hard engorged breasts. Not to mention, on is huge and the other is small. I read that putting a piece of cabbage in your bra is supposed to help, but it didn't seem to do much the one day that I tried it, and it's weird. How about blag tea bags? I thought I heard that the tannic acid helps the milk dry up. It would be nice to get this over with sooner than later. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks! These comments are helpful! So far, so good just pumping a little and letting him nurse enough to relieve me.

When I quit nursing my first baby, I would just pump a tiny amount to relieve the engorgement. You never want to let your breasts become that full, it increases your risk of getting an infected milk duct. (Mastitis) After a few times of pumping a small amount out to relieve the discomfort I didn't have to pump any out at all. I want to say it took about a week for my milk to dry up! I didn't use cabbage, tea bags, or anything else. Good luck!
