Baby's Stools

[deleted account] ( 2 moms have responded )

So we got that picture guide on what a healthy stool looks like, but my baby is nearly 4 months old and she's had runny, brownish stools for a couple weeks now. She hasn't run a fever or seemed ill in any way, so I haven't been too concerned, but the photos show green/yellow, seedy stools as healthy stools for breastfed babies. What could be causing this color difference? Is it a poor diet on my part? Thanks!

Yeah, I never thought of the excessive drooling! She is definitely doing lots of that these days...chewing on everything she can get her hands on. I figured the chewing and drooling had something to do with teething. I never knew extra saliva could change the stool color, but I just read an article about it. Interesting! What small things can do to the little ones! Thanks!
