Baby waking to eat at 2/3am after previously sleeping through the night

My 4 month old son had been sleeping through the night (8-9 hours) for about a month and a half up until the last two weeks. Now every night like clockwork he wakes up at 3:30 am wanting to eat. I am breastfeeding him and nothing has changed in regards to our feeding. Is there something I can do to try and rid him of this middle of the night feeding? Does anyone know why he would start this all of the sudden? Originally we were thinking it was a growth spurt and he was just extra hungry, but this has lasted quite a bit longer than his normal growth spurts. I am a working mom and have to get him up at 5:30 to get him to the sitter on time and he is SO tired when I wake him back up instead of the well rested baby I had previously been getting in the morning. Any advice would be appreciated, I would love to get back to a normal routine.

Most babies change their sleep habits multiple times throughout the first year. It's normal. Yes it can be frustrating when you had a baby who slept so well that now isn't, but try to remember that it IS normal. And check out this article on 4 month sleep regression.

Count yourself lucky that he was sleeping 8-9 hours so young. That's fairly out of the ordinary. Can't you just not wake him up when you leave for the sitter's? At least not intentionally.

My only advice is to feed a hungry baby and try to get him out of the house w/out waking him too much.
