Babies don't starve themselves. They simply decide that they will be eating at a later time, like your daughter has decided. It's not a horrible thing that she wants to wait, but there are other things you can do to make sure she has food in her belly while you are gone. You can have her caregiver do cup feedings with her (pour the expressed milk into her mouth). When I say cup, I mean medicine bottle sized cups. You could also have her caregiver feed her with a syringe or medicine spoon. All of those options are worth trying and none of those options would cause her to stop breastfeeding (as a bottle could do if she got used to them). Good luck!! Keep us updated on the various techniques that you try!

I had the same problem with 2 of my children....cup feeding or from a teaspoon is worth a go...& get home quick!! You (& her) will be fine!
