My 8mo old boy just got his first top tooth and has both bottom teeth and has recently begun biting me at the beginning of our nursing sessions. Once we get going, he doesn't bite anymore. Any suggestions to get him to stop?

Hi everyone!! I am having almost the opposite problem my son is almost at year old and has started biting me more at the end sometimes in the begining i instantly take him off and tell him no. But i think it has something to do with his teething thats going on, because he has also started grinding his teeth.Uh hoping for some relief in sight!!

Thanks! That's kinda what I do. I only give him cold things to teethe on. How long did it take your daughter to stop biting?

my daughter did the same thing....the second he bites you break his latch and firmly say "no biting" then let him latch on again if he bites again break the latch...just don't let him continue feeding until he doesn't bite down...and don't ever give him anything warm to teethe and bite on...then he will associate it with skin.
