Does anyone know if there is a type of bottle that is compatible with the gerber breast milk storage bags? I know I can freeze it and pour into a bottle, but that seems tricky for someone else to do. Are there bottles I can just put the bag right into?

You can use bags to freeze milk and when you're ready to use it, move the bag into the fridge. Once the milk is thawed you can put it yourself into the bottle and leave it into the fridge until it's ready to be used. It should be safe for at least 12 hours. I hope this helps.

Also, there's nothing wrong with getting other people do what we can do. I know we're superwomen but there's no special skill required to do this. For example, I can't get my husband to wash up my pump parts ;) !!!

well you can always continue to use the bags and just pump a few into bottles for when other ppl need to feed your babe, or make them learn how to use the bags! lol

I have been pumping into bottles, but they take up so much space in the freezer, and I only have so many, where as bags are smaller and cheaper overall.

most bottles are compatible with FirstYears pumps too. I pumped directly into bottles with a medela pump though.

Quoting Chelsea:

most pumps have the same threading so you can use bottles interchangeably...

in other words, whatever pump you have you should be able to directly pump into a bottle that you can then freeze into...

i believe you can get playtex drop in's that come with a lid. i got a set of bottles with lids and storage by playtex. my son didn't seem to have any problem with that brand. but as for gerber, i'm not too sure...
