Come to think of it Zee has a point. I remember my boobs kinda deflated when my daughter was 9 months old making me feel like my supply had dropped but in fact my supply was fine, my body had just adjusted to breastfeeding. My second daughter also had a cow's milk allergy diagnosed after 3 months of screaming and she ended up going onto the presciption formula that my paediatrician prescribed. I could have kept breastfeeding but i had so much trouble feeding her from the start i was kinda over it by then. It so hard to know what to do! They say breastfed babies take what they need so mayb he is getting enough, and like Zee said you might just not feel like it.

1. He may be having a growth spurt and if that's the case then just keep nursing him on demand and in a few days your milk supply will adjust to his needs
2. You may be producing enough milk and just not "feel" like it. It happens when your supply kinda evens out.
3. Check out www.kellymom.com
4. You can take fenugreek capsules and drink a cup of mother's milk tea.

My only advice is feed him as often as you can to increase your milk supply. My first when she was 8 months old was in hospital and the only thing that helped settle her was the boob and over night my boobs filled right up again (like they did when my milk first came in) because of the stimulation, boosted my supply right up. The only other thing i can think of is use a hand breast pump every couple of hours and between feeds to increase your supply. Good luck!

What kind of allergies? My son has such a sensitive tummy, and is allergic to milk. But he is doing alot better now! I don't give him things like broccoli or anything too strong, because it will upset his tummy. Have you tried things like butternut squash, carrots, sweet potatoes? I make all my baby food too, he seems to like it better and doesn't bother him as much :)

Breastfeeding moms supposedly need 12 glasses (8oz) of water a day. So you might want to make sure you're drinking enough (it's easy to forget to drink, chasing after your little one!). Last year I seemed to have stopped making enough milk for my baby (then 3 months old) and the nurse told me to take fenugreek. It really helped! I later realized that I think the problem was b/c I started tanning in a bed (which I don't usually do, but decided to just a little since I was going to be a bridesmaid in a wedding). I think that's what dried me up; as soon as I stopped tanning, my milk produced again as normal. I've also heard that if you are under stress you can stop producing enough. And remember breastfeeding is a supply/demand... The more you nurse, the more you make. Sometimes if your baby is going through a growth spurt, they may be drinking more than you realize and really keep you drained. Then as soon as your breasts adjust and start making more, your baby is off their growth kick and you have more than enough milk... Just a few things I've experienced... Hope it helps!

How often do you feed him "real" food? My little guy seemed like he wasn't getting enough breast milk, (he's 8 months old also) but I feed him 3 sometimes even 4 meals a day and he's so happy now!
