I have been on medication to bring in more breast milk,i went to fill my perscription yesterday and the pharmacist told me it was too early to fill i have to wait for another 26 days. I am affraid in that time by breast milk will become less and less and then dry up!! Any thoughts or tips?

She perscribed one thing then the laction consultant told me i could take the highest dose,so thats what i have been doing this is why i ran out sooner then i should have. So i think i will have to talk to my Dr. and let her know that the Nurse told me this and that i need her to call them to allow for my perscription to be filled. The Phamacist did tell me what Blue cross wouldn't pay for it so maybe it's just a matter of me having to pay full price for it myself...

I would call your doctor and have them talk to the pharmacy. Are you taking the correct dosage? Your doctor should've written the prescription so that you run out and can get refills at the appropriate times.
