A few questions for you…. First - how old is your baby? Some doctors are still recommending starting solids at 4 months, but most are now going with the newer research suggesting it's better to wait until baby is AT LEAST 6 months old.
Second - is there any reason other than age of baby that you are starting solid foods? Is baby gaining weight well? Nursing on demand still? Peeing and Pooping enough? Meeting milestones?
To answer your direct question: yes, I added breast milk to things like rice cereal when I made them for my LO.
However, I also learned it's better to wait until your LO is ready to try the foods you are offering than it is to try to find a way to coerce your baby into eating when they just aren't interested or ready. Your breast milk IS ENOUGH for your LO until the first birthday… and possibly beyond that. Food is for FUN until they're one. If your baby is on the younger side… less than 6 months, I'd suggest just waiting a few more months before trying solids again. If your baby is older…. try a variety of foods and see what baby likes. My youngest HATED pureed foods, but loved finger foods. She didn't start eating solids at all till sometime between 7 and 8 months old. I did give her things like a large apple slice (too big to fit in her mouth so no choking hazard) and let her gum it and suck on it when she was about 6 months old. I did that with carrots too…. just peel a whole carrot and give it to baby to play with. That gave her the taste of food, kept her in charge of what was going in her mouth.

My LO is four months and eating perfect gaining weight good everything is good I just started trying baby food because the doctor have me the go ahead but I do think that your right and maybe she is just not ready for food yet. She doesn't eat the cereal either so I think I'll take your advice and just wait a lil longer and try again. She stil doesn't sleep through the night and I was hoping starting her on food would help with that but I don't want to push it if she isn't ready. Thank you so much very helpful!
