My little girl was 6 wks premature and is now almost 3 mos old. I was exclusively breastfeeding while she was in the NICU and she wasn't gaining any weight. So we started supplementing with formula. When she came home she became very constipated. I was giving her miralax at first but she she seemed to be in so much pain. So then I started putting kayro syrup in her bottles. That didn't work, and she became extremely gassy. So then we started switching formulas. I'm using Simalac products because I can get them for free. But none of them seem to be helping her. I've was pumping and mixing 1/2 bm and 1/2 formula. Then I thought maybe my breast milk was the problem, and went for straight formula. All in all, she's been sleeping 3 hr at a time but still miserable with gas and constipation. Yesterday I decided to go to only breast milk in hopes that would help. Now she's eating every 2 hrs and only sleeping 15-45 minutes at a time. If it's not one thing it's another. HELP!!!

Since you've only just returned to only breast milk, you'll need to give it some time. Let her build your supply back up by nursing frequently, and you may see a change in a few days or so.
It's possible she has a sensitivity to cow milk. Most formulas are made from cow milk. There are soy formulas too.. but those can also cause problems. And constipation is very common with a dairy sensitivity. IF she is sensitive to cow milk, you will find that she does better if you cut it out of your diet while you're breastfeeding.
