I think I'd probably go for the rubber cups, although I'll have to look around cause I haven't seen them in walmart.

Medela's come highly recommended, but i have a Lansinoh and think it's great! it has the hard cups, but i dont have any problem with them.

either way i think u should try to get a soft rubber cupped breast pump, alot better than the hard plastic kind...like the first years pump. and yeah, mine broke too, so dissapointing especially when u spend decent $$ on them. good luck!

Hmm...I think I'll be getting either Avent or Medela cause I got First Year and it sucked. It stopped working after two tries. Luckily I was able to get it replaced and I brought it back to Wal-Mart cause I wasn't willing to risk the same thing happening..:S

Avent is a great brand. The bottles are good too.Easy to use and can get a pack with pump bottles .

I use the medela harmony for now. I might go to electric when I return to work. The harmony is good for just that occasional bottle because it is very slow in getting the milk out and I have overactive letdown so i probably get more than someone else would from it and to me its still turtle slow. When I have to leave my baby a lot of ounces for when i return to work it may be a problem so I will upgrade. It is very comfortable though.

the Medela pumps worked best for me. i tried the first year pump, wtih no sucees and actually would up with 2 broken pumps that the company would not replace or repair...nice. the Medela manual pump has a soft rubber peice that cups over ur breast, i find it to be much more effective than a hard plastic cup. it also has a short and long pump action, the shorter mimics the action of the beginning stage of b/f when the baby is taking shorter draws to get ur milk going, then u can swith to the longer draw to express streams of milk. i found this worked best and best for the price too. got mine at walmart.
