Breast vs. Bottle

My daughter is a little over 3 months old and up until it was time for me to return to work I was EB now when i am with her she BF but when I am working I pump & her dad bottle feeds her (breastmilk)! Well we took her to the Dr. the other day and she had an infection which made her lose 13 oz, so the Dr. suggested I only feed her from one side & then supp with 2 oz of breastmilk that I have stored in the freezer! I did this for a week...she got a bottle at every feeding whether I was home or not, now that the infection is gone I can go back to only BF when I'm with her but now she is acting like she doesn't want to eat from the breast she just pulls away and cries, I keep trying but i'm not going to let her make herself sick so my husband gives her a bottle! Has anyone else had this happen or any advice?

Sounds like nipple confusion. She prefers the bottle because the milk comes out faster and easier. Here's some info:

Try to spend lots of time skin to skin, try nursing when she's sleepy or asleep. Try taking baths together. You can also pump just enough to get a letdown and try latching baby on or doing breast compressions to get the milk to flow a little faster. Here's another great link that's specifically about nipple confusion:

Good luck!
