breastfeeding and contraception? help me

good day to all....i just want to ask or anyone knows maybe u can help me. im breastfeeding to my daughter 2 month and 5 days old. i never taking any contraception yet because i never ready yet having sex with my husband because his so buzy to his work after i giving birth.so i just want to asking if safety to taking a pills even my period not yet come? is there anyone can help me to know what i do? please rply asap...thanks all

yes, you just pick a day and start taking them. I know you're supposed to time the start of the pills with your period, but post-partum is different. Just start .

thanks lori to reply my msg. but my period not yet come back after giving birth my daughter now is 2 month and 5 days.so i dont know when my period come back so thats why i never take pills bcoz of my period not yet come...do i start taking pills even may period not yet come back.

If you're talking about Birth Control Pills, and you're breastfeeding, there is a Mini Pill that has progesterone only that is generally considered safe to take while breastfeeding. You'll want to avoid taking anything with estrogen in it while breastfeeding. And yes, you can begin taking it before your periods return. It may cause your periods to return by taking it though.
