My son is almost 10 months old and has about 1/2 of his first tooth on the bottom now and the tooth next to it just cut thru and one on the top. My nipples have been pretty sore for about a week now, only when he latches on though. Is his latch just not right or will my nipples just toughen up a bit??? He doesn't bite me when he's nursing.....

It will last few days and will pass, no worries. I was sore like that too, just suck it up :)

I was always told you shouldn't be able to feel the bottom teeth because their tongue is in the way with a proper latch. That being said, I always felt my first sons bottom teeth while he sucked. After a little while though, it didn't bother me anymore.

I would definitely check out his latch. He may have changed it due a bit due to teething pain. Make sure his head is well supported too so that his teeth don't get pulled donw onto your breast by the weight of his head. My daughter is 2 and has had teeth since almost 10 months. We still have to latch a few different times sometimes to make sure that her latch is good.
