Breastfeeding with a stranger

So something really awesome happened to me today! Just thought I would share my story. I took my son to the Zoo today, and he got hungry, so I sat myself down on a bench and nursed him. About minute or so later, a woman came to me and said, "my baby is hungry too, mind if we share the bench?" She sat next to me and nursed her baby along with me!!! So we sat there nursing our babies, mine 8 months old, hers 5 months old, and chatted away about breastfeeding and our sweet babies. When we were done, we just went about our business. Coolest thing to happen to me while nursing in public! Love it!

That's wonderful!! That happened to me at the Home Depot of all places!! A young girl with a 6 month old baby kinda followed me and my crying 2 month old to the First Aid room where we sat and chatted together while we fed our babies. She was passing time while her husband was getting supplies (they were in town from the country) and her baby was hungry and didn't know what to do. That explains why she was following me! LOL It was nice to talk to another Mom and pass the time together. And, like you, we went our separate ways afterward. Funny experience and I'm glad Moms randomly get together!!!

When I was a new BF mommy I always felt more comfortable if there was another mom in the area who was also NIP. It's amazing what seeing a mom NIP can do for a mom who's a little nervous about it. Such a nice story :)
