I have an 18 months who is still nursing once at night. I want to get pregnant now so that they'll be close in age. My period hasn't come back yet either. Im sure that brings my chances down a lot, but i've heard of soo many woman who got pregnant without their period back and breastfeeding. im hoping i can be one of them. This is my 3rd child.

Yes it can happen. Some women do get pregnant before they get their period back. And yes, your chances are lower since you don't have it back yet. Just keep trying... and have fun doing it... don't stress over it. It will happen when it happens.

Some women can get pregnant even while breastfeeding a very young baby. Other women don't get pregnant until they night wean the baby. And still other women don't get pregnant again until baby is completely weaned.

The website link I've provided starts with using breastfeeding to help prevent getting pregnant, but if you scroll down it talks about the transition to full fertility.
