Does anyone know of an easy way to wean your 17 month old of breast milk?

He only has at night as i got him off at nap time, but he doesn't sleep right through the night he wakes up and wants milk. And there is no comforting him he wants what he wants.

That is perfectly normal baby behaviour for a 17month old. There's no need to wean, and in fact it is recommended that babies receive breast milk for a MINIMUM of two years in order to get all the possible benefits from it. I am feeding a 1yr old and a 5yr old, but the 5yr old only sporadically asks for booby. It's very common for a toddler to feed more at night, and it's hard work! You could try co-sleeping (we also co-sleep with both kids), a lot of mums find that they get a good night of rest when they're not wandering about in the halls at 3am.

You're doing a beautiful job to be feeding him at 17 months, there are very few babies in our westernised world who are so lucky! Keep going and you'll make it to two! What a champion mama you are xx
