Christine Fuentes that is true (but it is only reliable birth control for the first 6 months if you are exclusively bf), but only true if you are not taking the pill... I think when you start taking the pill it puts a hormone in your body that can trigger ovulation when you stop taking it.. the rules are a little different if you are taking something.

Use a back up birth control for the next 3 days! This birth control is unique because it only takes 3 days to work it's just very important you take it at the same time every day so if you don't just use back up for the next 3 days.

Depending on how long it's been since I forgot my pill (is mini pill a brand?) I either take it when I remember (probably as much as 5 hours late), or just wait until the next day and continue taking it at the regular time. I tend to forget twice a month. Using other methods of birth control is highly recommended.

The information that comes with your pill should give recommendations for missing a pill, and tell you the effectiveness of the pill when taken properly and when taken improperly. I think mine says something like 86% effective when you don't take them the way you're supposed to.

OH, and as far as I've heard, the whole breastfeeding and not having your period yet thing doesn't matter. You can still get pregnant. If my doctor told me I couldn't get pregnant because of that, then I would so not be bothering with the pill at all right now!!!!

Continue taking the pill as you normally would (probably means two in one day) and then use a condom if you have sex for the next three days. Thats what the instructions say on my mini pill anyway! But if your BFing and your regular period hasnt come back yet since you gave birth then your usually protected against getting pregnant, but again everybodys different!
