Hi, I am still breastfeeding my 11month old son (about 3 times a day). I still have not got my period, so is it possible for me to get pregnant? Or do I need to wait until my periods return? Thank you

Yes, it can happen. I was just reading about this. The longer you nurse without a period, then the more likely you'll ovulate before your first period. Personally, with my two subsequent pregnancies, I had started my period. The first, pregnant on my third cycle. Then, after my second son, I had one cycle before pregnancy (ended in miscarriage). From there, my cycle was all screwed up - less than 2 week cycles! - and ended u pregnant with my third.

I got pregnant twice this way! I now have 4 children. Was nursing my 1st when I got pregnant at she was only 7 months old. Got pregnant while nursing my 3rd. He was only 14 months old.

You can definetly get pregnant while breastfeeding. If you would like to find out when you are ovulating, you can buy ovulation kits from the internet (ebay) or from chemists.

it is most definitely possible...there is no way of telling when you will get your period back so there is also no way of telling when you will ovulate because ovulation occurs about 14 days before you get your period (if you have an average 28 day cycle)
