I have to leave my kiddos with hubby while I attend 2 courses for school. I will be away for 2 weeks. My nursing toddler is 18.5 months. If I pump while I'm away will that maintain my supply? Will my toddler wean himself because I won't be there? I would hate for this to be the end of nursing for us and want to do everything I can to keep the relationship going. Any advice? Thanks!

Tina - thank you! I am so worried about how this will affect our routines! I will have to remember my pump!

I know 4 days is nowhere near 2 weeks but I've been through 4 days at least. And I forgot my pump. Even after I pulled it back outta storage and laid it on the bed where I was packing my suitcase. Anyhow, I tried to express in the shower morning and night and I did have a drop in milk supply but when I got home I nursed right away and my little guy was eager to get back on the horse. Milk supply came right back with no issues. I think if you remember your pump you'll be perfectly fine :) Your supply won't be affected in just 2 weeks of pumping, IMO. And you're LO has been BF'ing for 18.5 months...2 weeks won't be too much of an interruption. Although - rest assurred....I had all the same worries before I left and everything worked out fine. My LO is 21mos and still BF'ing and loving it!
