how do i make my 4 month old baby to drink milk from the bottle?as i need to leave her with a babysitter soon should i buy a breast shield everytime wen she needs a breastfed

Keep at it with the bottle. Try different nipples. What worked for me was the ol' switcheroo. Give her your breast hold the bottle with breastmilk right beside your nipple and then quickly switch. She'll probably notice the first few times and spit it out but she'll eventually give up :)

You need to start soon....should have started soon after birth with breast milk in a bottle to get the baby use to the bottle.Now will be harder...put brest milk in bottle wait until the baby is hunrgy and have her daddy feed her the bottle ...even if the baby cries do not offer the breast at first...feed some rice cereal, keep working on the bottle ..offer breast as a last resort . Breat feeding is perfect, if you can always be there, but if not you need to start offering the bottle within the first few weeks after birth...giving daddy a bonding time...

Thanks babe. Yeah i know it was a mistake. Nw im trying best to let my hubby fed her. . Its hard she kip cryin but i force myself not to be there its a real challenge.
