How long will I have milk production after weaning?

At 2 years old in February I went from 4 times a day down to once at night only. Since then she has skipped nights as much as a week straight unless sick or teething. I thought she was done mid-May. Yesterday she tried to nurse and I thought I'd let her see there's no milk there but to my surprise there was!

I have had my youngest weaned for over a year now. However, I still can squeeze out a little milk. I don't think it would be enough to even encourage him if he wanted to nurse (which is not the case). I think every woman is different. I'm still waiting for it to stop competely.

I found there was a very little milk still there for a couple of months after weaning... I guess your body has to adjust back again after being in the habit of producing it for so long!

Every woman is different... my son stopped nursing completely almost a year ago, and I still have milk production, and was recently dealing with a clogged duct... yeah, not happy there... I asked when it would stop, they offered to give me some drugs that would make it stop... I won't take them, I figure it will stop when it's ready, no need for chemicals to make it stop....
