How many ounces of breastmilk does or did your 11 week old drink?

My Son is 11 weeks old and I give him breastmilk in a bottle half the day. I pump about 5-6 oz every 3-4 hours but I only give him 4 1/2 ounces ( He spits up a lot if i give him more) . Here lately it seems like he has been wanting more. I gave him 5 1/2 ounces this morning and he was satisfied ( No spit up). Is it time to start adding more milk into bottle? Here is a calculator to help give you an estimate. My guess is that he's going through a growth spurt. How often does he eat? My first never took more than 5 oz at a time and my second (currently 6 months) takes between 2.5-4.5 oz. I don't use bottles, but I have access to a scale to weigh them before and after a feed. The rule of thumb is 1-1.5 oz for every hour that you're away. Many moms leave some extra milk in case they get stuck at work or baby seems to be growing and needing more at that moment. Breast milk is not like formula where you have to add more to the bottle as they get older. Your milk changes to meet his needs so the amount in the bottle generally stays the same.
