how much milk do you think my baby will need for 24hours???

Leaving my 5 week old baby boy with nanny from 8pm sat till 8pm sun and I want to make sure I leave enough milk...
should have at least 1500ml... (around 50 fluid ounces)
anyone know if thats enough???
please help its this saturday....xxxx

when my baby was 2 weeks old I have to stop breastfeeding for 48 hs bc my neurosurgen do a nuclear medicine test on me, the lactation consultant say I need to storage 24 oz a day, so the days before my test I pump as much as i can and I storage 50 oz at 36 hrs we were out of milk at 12 hrs more to go we have to compleate with formula, I thik 50 oz are ok, or mybe a little more just in case

yes thats what I thought... about 2oz every 2 hours, so the same amount. I have told my mum about defrosting a bag and leaving half in the fridge and half to feed.

if i recall correctly at that age, it should be atleast 1oz for every hour for an average sized baby.

Just make sure who ever is preparing the bottles doesnt make them too big. better to have to make 2 small bottles of 2oz each, than make a 6 oz bottle and waste breastmilk. that is where you run into issues.

i would be impressed if your 5 week old drank 50 oz in 24 hours. really freaking impressed.

that is helpful!
I might try to pump another 5oz tonight and see if I can get 10 2m and sat...
going to empty my breasts as nest I can when I leave him too...
If that works would be 65 oz...
I am worrying so much and my mother has told me she will just get formula but I really dont want it to come to that!!! xx
