My son is 1 month old and I was wondering when can I stop waking him up every 3 hours to eat, how often should he be eating, and about how much?? There's some times he'll cry because he's hungry and while I'm warming up a bottle he'll fall back asleep.. Do I wake him??

He'll normally cry for about 5 mins, he makes his sucky face and won't take his binkie so I know he's hungry so I'll start to heat up a bottle for him and another 5 mins later he's asleep. He'll wake up a half hour to an hour later if I don't wake him. He'll go anywhere from 2 hours ibetween feedings to 4 hours and he eats anywhere from 2oz to 6 oz of breastmilk.

I've always been a firm believer that if the baby is sleeping don't wake them to feed them let them sleep. I've always done this for my own sanity purposes because I find that I fuction better when I'm getting 4 hour time blocks of sleep and anything less I become super cranky. When your little one wakes up how long is he crying for before he goes back to sleep? Is it possible to wait and see if he'll settle on his own, although he's kind of young. When my daughter was that age if she fell back to sleep we would just go ahead and try and feed her otherwise she would just be up again in a little while wondering where her food is.
I work full-time now and my daughter is 8 months old so I dream feed and will feed her before I go to work in the morning while she is still sleeping, or if I work late at night I'll dream feed when I get home so I don't have to pump. During the day I would make sure that your little one is eating every 2 to 3 hours at a month old but he may want to eat more often if he's sleeping longer at night. But at night if he sleeps longer count your blessings and let him sleep just keep an eye on his diaper count.
