I am weaning my 4 1/2 month old son. My periods came back and were regular 6 wks after delivery. Now all the sudden I am late and that is not at all like me. Will weaning throw my cycle off? I had the symptoms of my period for several days then they just went awa. I cramped a little today but never started and it actually reminded me of implantation cramping et I took a test and it was negative. I dont know what to think I am ready for another one but dont want to get my hopes up.

Remember your hormones change your cycles, when you wean your hormones are changing because you are no longer needing the same another of milk production etc.. pregnancy tests can give false negatives dont forget. Best advice is see your gyno or family doctor... I recently was taking a bc that wouldnt dry up my breast milk, i stopped bf and 3 months later my period lasted 21 days!! apparently the dose was too low???? but anyways it took 3 months AFTER weaning for it to screw with my cycle..... see a gyno and maybe they can give you answers you want
