My 4 week old just started to have this latch that he only wants the nipple in his mouth to eat. I know he's getting milk bc it's always in the corner of his mouth and he burps. I am just not sure how to encourage a proper latch or if it's nothing to worry about until he's older. He's sleepy when he eats too so that doesn't help. Plus I have huge size h boobs which makes it hard to tell what he's doing. Thanks

is it possible you have an overactive letdown/oversupply? sometimes babies will adopt a shallow latch to slow the flow when its going too fast.
does he do this on both breasts or one side more thab the other? there is often one breast that has a faster flow.
i sometimes have this issue with my dd (she is 10weeks old). i find that laidback nursing helps her get a deeper latch.
although if he's gaining weight and it doesn't hurt maybe you don't need to do anything about it...
