So Nataly who is 1 will not sleep unless she brestfeeds, we have tryed a bottle an a sippy cup, we have also let her cry her self a sleep. She gets so mad she will pull my shirt down or lift it up, an sugestion to ease her? She eats reg food an even drinks out of a sippy cup.

Hi there I am goin thru kindda the somthing I have a 9mth old baby girl and expecting in May and I already know that we will be in the hospital for a longer than norm stay so I need to get her atleast to the "its ok if I dont have my boob" stage or better and I have found that my hubby has been able to get her to sleep on his chest after I give a bottle -now somtimes she takes the bottle and others not so lucky.I have started this early cause I really want go slowly on the weaning thing.I didnt expect to have to wean her this early I really wanted let her wean herself but I guess thats just not what was in store so I wouldnt mind nursing both babes but because I know of the longer stay in the hospital I dont know if that will be possible but if it works out that would be ok too

I have the problem of my son pulling on my shirt. I just pull it back up and say "No, it's not time to nurse". I've had to just let him CIO and now he goes to bed at exactly 8pm without a sound. I took a MONTH to get to that point and I was always against sleep training. But you get to a point when you have to show your kid who runs the house. At a year old they start testing you and you NEED to set some ground rules. If you give in to them, it shows them that they're in charge. And it's gonna be a LOOOOOONG next 17 years. Put your foot down now. She's not a newborn anymore, so it won't hurt her. She's 1 and it's time to start learning who's in charge. But you can't give in either. Hold strong, and she'll learn :)

yes she always eats a solid meal an then she wants a breast, I try to give her a sippy cup insted but she throes a fit. Im looking to go back to work and last time i tryed i couldn`t find a sitter who could handle her because all she did was cry when i went to pick her up she was still crying in her sleep so i kinda gave up.

im not sure why you want to stop breastfeeding her but have you tried giving her a solid meal before bed and still offering the breast, hopefully she will take less and less, eventually not looking for it? im not saying from experience, my boy is 10mths and i plan to gradually cut back to stop by 2ish but i have got him to take a bottle so i can express for when he goes into care while im at work, have you tried the bottle with expressed milk at other times to get her used to it without the stress of trying to get her to sleep
