improving bottle feed experience

I'm now back at work and pumping. My three month old will take the bottle, but cries through the whole process. if left to eat at his pace, he will scarf 5 oz down in less than 5 min and cry for more. if my husband tries to give him breaks in between, he freaks out! I know he's getting enough and if left to cry for 5 minutes after finishing his bottle, he will eventually calms down.

Is this a common problem with breastfed babies? He's happy the rest of the day and sleeps well... he's fine when i brestfeed, but cries bloody murder when he bottle feeds..... :(

How long has he been having bottles for? it may just be "teething" issues so to speak. My bab was the same for at least the first month. What started working for us was positioning - my hubby would cuddle him in the crook of his arm and let him "root" as if about to go on the breast, then slip the teat in. Also what teat are you using and have you tried different ones? The closer it is to nipple the more happy they feel with it. the best in my opinion is either the tommee tippee or the ones we use, the avent. Hope that helps, eventually he will settle down!
