Last night my baby was very clingy and sleepy, no fever and no other symptoms, but we just new she wasn't herself. She coughed several times during the night, but it never woke her up. At daycare they said she seemed fine, no coughing, just a little crusty in the corner of her eye after a nap. After we got home I noticed a lot of crusty ear wax in her ear, and the eye on the same side has been gooping all night. Her eye is not pink and she is not itching it, she also hasn't been tugging at her ear. Can these be normal cold symptoms or signs of infection?

Usually they will run a fever as a sign of infection. If she's not acting like she is in pain I would say she might be a bit under the weather but sleeping more is usually what they do to give thier bodies the strength to fight it. If you are that worried you could always call your Ped. She might just get over it by herself, though. When my son has a cold she gets a congested nose, possibly a fever and sleeps more. I haven't had to take him to the Dr. yet. Just keep nursing her a lot and you will be doing the most for her you can by giving her the antibodies she needs.
