My daughter is 7 and a half months and won't eat any solids. ( formula or jar food). She drinks about 20 oz of breastmilk daily. She is kinda on the thin side and i'm worried that she might not be getting enough food.

I agree with Celeste, solids will not help with weight gain. If you are wanting to experiment with solids though, try making your own pureed foods. I don't know if you have tasted the jarred stuff, but it is nasty. There a number of ways to make your own baby food, it's more nutritional, tastes better, and will actually save you money!

Breastmilk is to be the main source of nutrition right now. Solids are for fun before one. One thing you might look into is baby led solids. I found this by accident, my twin boys didn't like jarred food. You just give them what you're eating.

On another note, even if she was eating solids, it may not help with weight gain. I learned that with all 3 of my kids. I thought giving solids would help my first daughter gain weight.. Nope. Same thing with my twin boys, except I didn't push it. Didn't really make any difference in weight gain when they did eat solids..

As long as she's getting enough diapers, she's getting enough.
