Thanks everyone for your help:) I worry a lot about taking medicines and always google it and saw that it said it wasn't safe. My mom called her pharmacists friend and he said that it was the safest to take and that it wouldn't harm her that it she was allergic she would break out in a rash. He said that it could make her not be able to take it herself later on. Thanks again:)

Unfortunately, I have had to take all kinds of antibiotics while nursing my boys. I have not had any ill side effects from any of them not have my boys. The key is to drink plenty of water and read your info pack thoroughly before taking any meds. Your doc wouldn't prescribe anything that would be unsafe. Amoxicillian is a very mild antibiotic,

I was just in an in depth conversation with my babies doctor today regarding what medicines are safe etc as he had to prescribe me Naprosyn for an injury. He's told me that there are many "safe" medicines while you are breastfeeding, however it has to do with how old your baby is. You can google your medicine, however you are much better off getting in contact with your local health unit to confirm if your dosage of amoxicillan is safe. Although I know that my doctor is pro breastfeeding and well informed when it comes to breastfeeding, babies etc and medicines, I did double check (for my own sanity lol) and they had the information I needed.
